Massachusetts law enforcement officials are criticizing a so-called loophole in state law which allowed a convicted sex offender to move to a new city "without directly notifying local police."
A Texas sex offender who lives across from an elementary school has met with parent opposition, despite the fact that he was ordered by a judge to live at the house.
An Australian sex offender, who spent 16 years on the run, has been caught. The man will undergo rehabilitation treatment.
A former Texas church youth leader will now be required to register as a sex offender. The man, who pleaded guilty to sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child, was given ten years probation and must register as a sex offender.

"We have no rights?" Kirshner said. "He's going to be allowed to stay? It's just our responsibility to watch our kids and cross our fingers and hope he doesn't harm anyone else?"
"So, they can bring it and put it in our neighborhood?" she said. "They can dump it anywhere?"
This whole ordeal with these buffer zones are turning people into selfish little drama queens. They don't say 'they shouldn't live anywhere' they just think they should live somewhere else besides in 'their' neighborhood.
On top of that, the new hysteria is a lot like Cooties, as if their children will automatically be victimized in some way if they are within 500 feet of a known sex offender.
