It seems like blogging software of all types is failing me lately. I'm heavily dependent on Bloglines yet it has been a disaster for the last couple of weeks. Sometimes, it shows 200 new posts for every subscribed blog. Then, this weekend, I went for almost 48 hours without any posts. So, I might follow the lead of others and switch over to Google Reader soon.
Similarly, Typepad has overhauled their posting interface. So far, the changes are for the worse. Things are much more difficult (requiring highlighting to apply any formatting). Worse, I can't seem to format certain portions of posts for no clear reason. I've sent in a tech support request, but I may be looking for other blogging software if things are not improved (or restored to previous functionality). The amazing thing about the new interface is that it offers no new features. It just makes things harder on bloggers.
Hopefully, I will get things straightened out soon. However, blogging may be in spurts while I sort things out.
